The Danish fashion house celebrated its new collection on the 7th of August, or to be more precise, on the third day of the Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Danish designer Charlotte Eskildsen founded the company in 2020. Charlotte began her career in the fashion world as a co-founder of a company named “Designers, Remix.” After 22 years in the field, the skilled designer decided to explore more glamorous paths in fashion, especially in a socially positive and green way.
In this matter, sustainable fashion is one of the core values of the brand. In fact, The Garment upholds this goal by participating in the 1% Initiative, a philosophy that commits to allocating 1% of its yearly sales to non-profit organizations committed to safeguarding ecosystems and their fauna.
The collection
The Thorvaldsen Museum, Denmark’s first modern art museum, served as inspiration for the Garment’s Spring Summer 25 collection. The museum was founded by Bertel Thorvaldsen, the first international art student from Copenhagen chosen by the art college at the age of eleven, and it represents a long legacy of artistic brilliance in the Danish kingdom.
The museum is home to plenty of art, especially sculptures in marble, something that inspired the collection aesthetics in a smooth way. This influence was such that the fashion show took place in the museum’s courtyard.
In the essence, the Garment Summer 2025 collection combines classic refinement with a modern awareness. It contains beautifully detailed lace and lingerie fabrics purchased from flea markets in France (Eskildsen has a second house in a medieval city near the sea), giving each garment a sense of history and romance.
The runway included 26 looks in a variety of colors, including white, beige, and blue, which are commonly found in the Thorvaldsen Museum. Eskildsen also recreated masculine-styled items in light grey melange linen for ladies, providing a delicate, breathable texture that emerges as casual elegance. Eskildsen’s inventive approach to conventional techniques is evident in his relaxed yet fashionable knitted polos, which are versatile additions to any wardrobe, and his unique crochet dresses.
To put it simply, The garment Summer 2025 is a gorgeous collection that symbolizes a piece of Danish history while also demonstrating how material arts can be elegantly translated into fashion art.
