REMAIN Summer 2025

The second day of the Copenhagne Fashion Week revealed a vintage but elegant idea through the REMAIN Spring/Summer 2025 collection. With dozens of items combined in 24 looks, the collection is a summer manifesto of the Copenhagen-based fashion house toward a philosophy and a way of life.

The Danish brand emerged in 2019 from the historical brand Birger Christensen. Birger is actually one of Denmark’s oldest and most sophisticated fur-crafting brands. Danish Creative Director Martin Asbjørn leads the brand, which combines Birger Christensen’s 150-year history with Scandinavian elegance.

In fact, Martin Asbjørn officially joined the brand in 2023. His experience, considerable knowledge of tailoring, and evident understanding of what a modern woman wants from her wardrobe are all consistent with the brand’s essence.

The collection

“Superbody” is the name of the REMAIN Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The collection’s concept revolves around the notion of the woman as a cosmopolitan heroine. Because of this idea, the aesthetics and cultural heritage of the 80s and 90s served as a path that REMAIN decided to follow for this season. The creative director of REMAIN reinforces this concept by saying…

“The fitness culture of the 80s influenced the minimal, body-centric style of the 90s.”

Precisely, the freedom caused by this pop-era inspired the designs for the season. In other words, REMAIN understands that a woman becomes her own heroine when she claims possession of the female body. On this occasion, the collection embodies the contemporary heroine. Her figure is analytical and passionate, determined and introspective, confident and vulnerable. As a result, no single moment determines the tone for the collection, but rather a symphony of separate styles.

In the matter of the design, REMAIN Summer 2025 has combined the minimal and polished lines of the 90s with the masculine and exaggerated tailoring of the 1980s. Transparent and sparkling textiles accentuate snatched hips, sculpted shoulders, and elongated forms.

The color palette is a surprise for the season. REMAIN, in a move to keep its Scandinavian roots, choose mild to dark colors. These tones are present in the Scandinavian environment during the summer, so the bets of the fashion house were displayed in the ton of the fabrics. The colors in the main items consisted of rich chocolate brown, cinnamon red, salmon pink, dove grey, and deep navy blue, with pops of creamy white hues.

In the end, the REMAIN Spring/Summer 2025 collection is elegant but basic, making it suitable for those who value quiet luxury. In other words, the collection is exquisite but not exuberant, which fits with the Scandinavian fashion aesthetic and lifestyle.
