OpéraSport Summer 2025

On a warm afternoon in Copenhagen’s lovely summer, the Danish brand OpéraSport released their new interpretations for the season. With that on mind, August 5th is the day OpéraSport Summer 2025 shined in the Scandinavian capital.

At this time, the Fashion Week of Copenhagen started with the debut of this collection. In addition to being the first fashion show of the summer season, the OperaSport show took place in Exillion Garden, a symbolic location whose essence you will discover in the following sections.

The debut is a landmark for the Danish brand founded in 2019. Despite being “young” for fashion standards, the brand has been growing surprisingly thanks to the passion of its founders, the stylist Stephanie Gundelach and the fashion designer Awa Malina Stelter.

The collection

Before all, to understand the essence of the OpéraSport Summer 2025 collection, we need to see the DNA of the fashion house. The house’s main goal is to create a style that fits the mix between elegance and comfort.

This approach arose mostly from the cosmopolitan French spirit of combining classics and current trends with Copenhagen’s sporting culture. The label’s name reflects that difference. The name mixes the words “Opéra,” which refers to the elegance and artistic ability of the Grand Opera of Paris, and “sports,” which suggests a healthy lifestyle with freedom and comfort.

For the same reason, the OpéraSport Summer 2025 collection is another root that grows from this idea. In addition to the concept, the choice of the Exillion Garden as the place for the fashion show is more complex than it seems. The Exillion is a private garden in Copenhagen designed by Peter Wibroe, who aimed to build the most beautiful acre of land north of the Alps. The garden draws inspiration from French Baroque, Italian Renaissance, and Islamic/Oriental garden art.

Their designs reflect a timeless look, combining traditional architecture with lush vegetation for stylish and utilitarian pieces. Awa Malina Stelter and Stephanie Gundelach were inspired by the Exillion Garden’s gorgeous blooms, which are brilliantly depicted in their new quilt and embroidered patterns. For this reason, the garden became the main source of inspiration for OpéraSport Summer 2025.

The Looks

The collection combines feminine elegance with practical fits to create flexible styles that can be worn at any time of the day. Their enlarged collection includes a variety of outfits and swimwear, ideal for enjoying the warmer months of the season.

Besides that, they’ve expanded their acclaimed seamless capsule, past season’s bestsellers, and unisex options to cater to a varied audience. Furthermore, OpéraSPORT stays loyal to its ideals by only employing recycled or organic fabrics in their clothing.

The set’s best approaches include a 90s-inspired stripe print on poplin sets and accessories, a sophisticated black quilted organic leather jacket, a pocket enlargement on the classic Jerome bag, and new colorways of the brand’s renowned Shirley Bag.

The collection has incorporated vibrant floral colors, but still with a sophisticated cosmopolitan aesthetic. The primary palette of the set consists of mars red, duberry, blue, white, black, and parsnip. Black and white still plays a major role in the palette, something that is characteristic of Scandinavian fashion, even for warmer seasons like summer and spring.

In conclusion, the collection includes 80 apparel pieces in 25 looks and 17 accessories. In fact, this amount provides a wide range of tastes and sizes from XS to XL, ensuring an inclusive selection.
