8 of August was the last day of the Copenhagen fashion week, and the Danish Fashion House MUNTHE debuted the first show of the day with its vision for the summer season. On this occasion, the house is celebrating an incredible achievement, and here you will discover why the MUNTHE Spring-Summer 2025 collection is special.
Everything started when Danish fashion designer Naja Munthe founded MUNTHE in Copenhagen in 1994. The idea behind it was to create an artistic, genuine, and craft-focused alternative to the fashion industry at the time. 30 years later, MUNTHE is a well-known and established Danish fashion house, renowned for its selected items and styles.
MUNTHE’s fundamental goal is to create the harmony that each style embodies. In this matter, the essence ranges from carefully chosen, high-quality materials to dedicated craftsmanship in numerous items, such as coats and linen. Furthermore, MUNTHE also has a reputation for its creative expression. This style is represented by contradictions and contrasts: soft silhouettes with a tailored touch that produce adaptable styles that can be used on different occasions. During this season, the brand’s history became the main protagonist.
The collection
This August, MUNTHE celebrates its 30th anniversary, which has consisted of three decades of creativity, innovation, and a growing global presence. The house, led by its creative founder, is methodically developed with a firm devotion to three basic values: art, responsibility, and female empowerment.
To commemorate the occasion, the House produced 38 looks in a vast rage of sizes for the Summer Season, drawing influence from its past. Altogether, this collection features dresses embellished with three-dimensional flower appliques, leather skirts, and bomber jackets lavishly embroidered with flowery designs. These pieces not only demonstrate the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship but also reflect its heritage.
In terms of aesthetics, the collection’s diverse color palette is inspired by the flowers represented in the unique pattern. Blue, light yellow, relaxing light purple, and vibrant red are featured alongside pure white and light gray. These colors emphasize the essence of spring and summer seasons.
And of course, sustainability was not left behind. In fact, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection is made of 50% more sustainable materials. At this juncture, the house has established a criteria to craft styles. This standard consists of a minimum of 50% recycled or certified low-impact materials. In other words, this “rule” helps to ensure a more sustainable impact on the environment. Without reservation or fear to say, the MUNTHE Spring-Summer 2025 collection is a stunning collection that made a unique impression during the fashion week.
