Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2025

On January 27, Paris was home for the best of the best in fashion. For 4 days, the City of Lights became the host for the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 releases and fashion shows. On this occasion, the Italian designer Giambattista Valli revealed its new vision for the season, and here you will find all the details about the new collection.

Born in the eternal city, Rome, Giambattista started its career in Paris with the release of its first collection in 2005. It took a few springs for the new Italian designer to make his name in Paris. After 20 years and dozens of collections, Giambattista became an iconic artist in high-end fashion.

Since revealing his first haute couture collection in 2011, Giambattista’s reputation has steadily grown, leading him to become a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. This status allowed him to remain one of the main voices in design. For the spring-summer 2025 season, his legacy is still alive, and here you will be a witness to that.

The collection

For the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025, Giambattista Valli did what he does best: a tribute to art and feminine essence. For this collection, the Italian designer draws inspiration from Morocco, the African kingdom famous for its traditions and unique culture. The North African country’s Muslim, mediaeval, nomadic, and multicultural roots were a unique creative choice that Giambattista decided to explore.

35 dresses and looks are part of the new collection. The pieces are crafted with different designs representing particular characteristics of the millennial kingdom. The dresses (shown on a Moroccan red carpet, of course) represent a strong contrast with colours and cuts. This resembles Giambattista’s desire to create functional yet glamorous pieces that allow women to express themselves without aesthetic limitations.

The patterns played a subtitling role in this collection, not because of the nature of haute couture but because of the Islamic designs that are known for having geometrical and floral patterns in mosques and houses, especially in Morocco. The colour palette consists mainly of red, white, pink, purple, green, turquoise and other different tones. Additionally, the majority of the patterns feature embroidery in golden tones. This characteristic combines the sophistication of Paris with the tradition of Casablanca.

Last but not least, the jewellery plays an essential role. This is because the gems become the perfect addition to the dresses, especially those in golden patterns. These kinds of accessories were well played by Giambattista and gave the unique touch to a collection that is gorgeous in visual and cultural richness.
