ETRO Pre-Fall 2025
The pre-fall season has started, and the iconic Italian fashion house ETRO has joined the club with its pre-fall 2025 collection. On December 2, the collection with more than 40 looks and dozens of new accessories was unveiled to the world through the lookbook, and here you will see what is behind this launch.
But first, let us highlight the history of this genuine brand. Gimmo Etro, an antique dealer, founded ETRO as a textile company in Milan with his wife, Roberta, in 1968. With the passage of the years, the company quickly gained recognition for its superb products and elegant patterns. Years after its growing success, Gimmo introduced the paisley pattern in 1981 and expanded on it in all of its forms and color variations. The paisley pattern originated in Iran and has become the Milanese fashion house’s hallmark.
Since its founding, ETRO has remained a family-owned business, which has contributed to the preservation of its core values. Furthermore, the house expanded to other sectors, such as interior designs and porcelain. As a whole, ETRO became more than a fashion company; it’s a complete lifestyle.
The collection
The ETRO Pre-Fall 2025 collection was designed by Marco De Vincenzo. Since joining the house in 2022, Vincenzo has consistently led the creative direction of the brand. On this occasion, the Sicilian designer opted for a unique approach, aiming to strike a balance between the house’s heritage and contemporary elements.
Marco De Vincenzo’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection is a careful marriage of the brand’s long-standing artistic tradition with Vincenzo’s sophisticated, progressive look. The collection reinterprets ETRO’s characteristic themes through a contemporary viewpoint, balancing artistic integrity and market adaptation. This approach comprised a diverse range of options that, for the season, provided possibilities for both men and women, particularly in the casual wear of handbags and jackets.
In terms of design, ETRO’s signature silhouettes took on a new, delicate form in flexible silk jersey. This different form hugs the body with youthful, sensual proportions and featuring minimal flower motifs. In other words, it appeared lighter and more controlled than previous designs. Additionally, a hand-made leather lace-up motif accentuated and sculpted the waistline in everyday essentials like coats, blazers, and minidresses, while a thin cashmere coat featured a subtle tone-on-tone chocolate paisley pattern.
In terms of aesthetics, the ETRO Pre-fall 2025 collection featured 40 styles and numerous accessories. To be more precise, these options include handbags, the brand’s specialty, as well as shirts and jackets adorned with the iconic patterns that have made ETRO a legendary brand. Last, but not least, the collection palette ranges between pastel colors and dark tones of dark blue and black, playing a visual harmony that resembles the house’s unique heritage.
