Moreover, Daniel also looked into the designs of the 1950s. The reason for the inclusion is that the 1950s were known as the “Golden Age” of haute couture. During this period, modernity, art, and symbolism developed from the chaos of the war. Thanks to this approach, Schiaparelli combined plenty of elements to create the new aesthetic. An example of this mix can be seen with the use of corsets (popular in the 1920s) with bows and blazers (popular in the 1950s).

The color palette was split into the three primary colors: black, gold, and white pastel, whose combinations reflected the collection’s “Olympian” aesthetics.
