Details of CHANEL Haute Couture Spring 2025

On January 28, Paris welcomed the new collection of its oldest haute couture house, CHANEL. For the new season, the French fashion house delivered a nostalgic new set of looks and clothing. The new release represents a unique achievement for the luxury brand, and here you will find all the details about the CHANEL Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 collection.

But first, let us remember how it all began. Everything started in 1910, when Gabrielle Chanel, also known as Coco Chanel, opened her first fashion store in Paris. Her distinct approach to creating refined accessories helped her establish a reputation in the top circles of the French capital. Years passed, and after experimenting with new fashions and trends, Gabrielle’s renown allowed her to establish CHANEL Haute Couture in 1915.

However, it was not until 1921 that the fashion house’s fate irreversibly changed. It was in this year that Gabrielle created and released her own fragrance, CHANEL N°5. After the release, CHANEL’s renown began to spread across national borders, becoming the face of luxury Parisian fashion. All this history is what inspired the CHANEL Haute Couture Spring-Summer Collection 2025.

The Collection

CHANEL’s new collection honours the haute couture house’s 110-year history. Matthieu Blazy, the house’s new creative director, recreated this significant event in history. Matthieu is a French-Belgian designer who joined the house at the end of 2024, following the exit of Virginie Viard. The new “fresh blood” in command of the company has years of expertise as a designer for other brands such as Celine, Calvin Klein, and Bottega Veneta, where he recently served as creative director.

Of course, as this is Matthieu’s first collection for CHANEL, he drew on all of his experience to commemorate the legacy of 110 years. This new set combines comfort with CHANEL’s traditional design. One example of that is the legendary CHANEL jacket, which played an important role in the designs. Additionally, the makeup and accessories also play well in the looks. However, considering the season and the brand history, the lack of hats and headscarves was a bittersweet surprise.

The fashion show was held in the centre of the Grand Palais. The Grand Palais is a century-old palace meant to host major events. In other words, the historical significance of this location fits CHANEL’s heritage. In the show, the runway was shaped like a double C, which represents the infinity symbol. This symbolism corresponds with the message of “infinite magnificence of haute couture”.

Aside from the performance, the presence of CHANEL ambassadors (influential individuals who represent the house), such as British-Albanian musician Dua Lipa, American socialite Kylie Jenner, American actress Pamela Anderson, and others from pop culture, left a unique impression on the environment. After all, the event was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the house’s history, and, as you can expect, here are the details of the 55 looks that walked the runway.

Purchase a piece

The CHANEL Haute Couture Spring-Summer Collection 2025 is now available in shops. However, haute couture is not designed to be displayed on shelves; therefore, each piece is custom-made for each purchaser. Because of this, you must visit an official store and schedule an appointment.

Furthermore, CHANEL offers so many options that might be as lovely as the haute couture pieces. In this context, feel free to browse the makeup options that can be checked here. You can also see the accessories and legendary fragrances that have preserved the house’s name.

If you decide to shop online, CHANEL has a wide range of possibilities thanks to its global store network. To be more specific, the delivery is far faster and more tailored than other brands. In addition, depending on the items you requested, shipping could take anywhere from 2 to 7 business days.

If something goes wrong and you wish to return an item, you have 30 calendar days from the day it was shipped to do so. Personalised and sealed items, such as fragrances, are not returnable. When you receive the item, there will be a form that you must fill out if you wish to return it, so do not discard anything immediately.
