Carolina Herrera Resort 2024
On June 1, Rio de Janeiro became witness to the new collection Carolina Herrera Resort 2024. Inspired by the colors of tropical sunlight, culture, and nature, the collection shows a new horizon of style opportunities.
Led by the American creative director of the house, Wes Gordon, the collection takes a soft stand on watercolor prints, creating items that lighten the tropical essence of the season.
Colors like lake blue, kiwi green, and papaya orange marked the skirts, dresses, hats, and accessories. These colors are the main ones you can find on the orchids, the national flower of Brazil. The South American country was chosen to inspire the creative imagery for the season.
The fashion show was driven by a 100% Brazilian cast to the sounds of Bossa Nova and Tropicalia, two popular Brazilian music styles from the 1960s. Gal Costa, a well-known performer in these two genres, had her songs played as the main soundtrack.
Even if the rain tried to ruin the show at the last moment, the tropical atmosphere blossomed into a gorgeous and unforgivable night for the legendary city of Ipanema’s girl.
