Baum und Pferdgarten Winter 2024
On the last day of January, Copenhagen received a taste of nostalgia and joy from the Baum und Pferdgarten Winter 2024 collection. In fact, the collection marks a milestone for the Danish Fashion House, and you can find out about it here.
The label, created by Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave Pferdgarten, carries the surnames of its creators to represent the powerful union of these two creative minds. Altogether, this partnership has been fruitful in creating an elegant concept that took the streets of the Scandinavian capital.
Feminine freedom and self-identity are equally fundamental pillars that allow the label to grow at an incredible pace. Nowadays, Baum und Pferdgarten is already present in 25 countries, making it one of the most successful fashion brands from Danish lands.
The collection
Founded in 1999, the label made 25 years, and its founders (and creative directors) decided to dedicate the fashion collection as a nostalgic set.
The collection, designed by the pair, combines classical elegance and vivid enthusiasm, highlighting their long-standing collaboration. Emphatically, the collection reflects the creators’ different styles and captures the soul of Baum and Pferdgarten’s journey. The partnership is reinforced by the following statement:
“We feel incredibly fortunate to be on this creative journey together, working every day side by side as best friends and partners. This collection is a celebration of the joy we find in each other’s company, which has shaped Baum und Pferdgarten as a brand.”
As a matter of fact, the runway show featured 34 outfits. From these looks, traditional shirts with twists of glittering accents reflect the designers’ particular tastes, resulting in a flawless marriage of their design philosophies. Moreover, the collection takes a dramatic stride forward, with stunning designs that are an essential element of the brand’s DNA.
Markedly, this DNA is highlighted by the enticing zebra print and an evolution of the traditional Baum und Pferdgarten hallmark. Also, the leopard print, has been recreated in twill cloth in mesmerizing blue tones. Additionally, the collection’s bright color palette includes timeless tones. Basically, these tones consisted in rich blues, deep greens and browns, elegant greys, and delicate light pinks, adding to its adaptability.
Furthermore, as a sign of gratitude and lasting vision, the Baum und Pferdgarten runway show featured a mix of friends and models from the brand’s 25-year history, as well as new faces showcasing the brand’s future.
