Located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the most important museum of art in New York and the largest in the Americas, the collection is a compilation of 250 classic dresses from all ages and fashion eras. This collection is the pinnacle of the Costume Institute, the specialized department of the Museum for Fashion.
With the vast collection of iconic and breathtaking dresses of “Sleeping Beauties,” Baum und Pferdgarten united the aesthetics of the past with a contemporary interpretation of the Scandinavian disco life of the 90s, creating in this way the Cruise/Resort 2025 collection.
The collection’s 18 looks provide contrast in terms of color and design. The main dominant colors in the palette are black and white, a simple but elegant combination for this kind of lifestyle. Saphire green and ocean blue tones also play a role in the contrast, but not enough to eclipse the main black/white duo.
Boots, denim jackets, and heels also played a sophisticated role in the looks, reinforcing the disco essence. However, most of the pieces are unicolor, with a few variations of dark red dresses. In conclusion, the collection itself is a manifesto for the brand on its 25th anniversary.
