AERON Winter 2024

On January 30th, the Hungarian label AERON debuted its third appearance at Copenhagen Fashion Week. At this opportunity, the magyar elegance was reintroduced in the AERON Winter 2024 collection. Here you will find out the details of the fashion show in Denmark’s capital.

Founded and headed by Hungarian fashion designer Eszter Áron, the brand has been producing high-end elegance for the feminine spirit since 2012. Following a long heritage of tailoring, Eszter Áron merged her own familiar experience with the timeless appeal of traditional tailoring. As a result, with cutting-edge design methods, AERON interprets the lens of a modern woman’s daily life.

For the autumn and winter seasons, Eszter Áron decided to create a new message. To achieve this purpose, Eszter Áron collaborated with Hungarian plastic artist Sári Ember.

Sári Ember is a Hungarian artist that works in a variety of disciplines. Her artistic style is centered on universal experiences, historical connections, aging, maturation, and decay. In fact, Ember interpretations are portrayed through mythological themes and symbolic perceptions. The AERON Winter 2024 collection incorporates her approach into colors, textures, prints, and minimal appliques while maintaining AERON’s signature sharp lines and clean forms.

The Collection

The vases are the main symbol in Ember’s art, representing a timeless object with a round shape that has existed from the beginning of humankind. The vase, as a metaphor for the body, is a large object used to preserve precious items inside; nonetheless, it is fragile and easily breaks.

The artist’s hand-painted showpieces feature designs comprised of pieces and movements that unfold in a similar fashion to the vase’s design. The AERON Winter Collection uses these artistic expressions and translates them into clothing. The plant-dyed clothing evokes the notion of relics discovered during ancient searches. Ember’s elaborate ceramic buttons for shirts, jackets, and coats resolve the contradiction between function and decoration. The textures also flirt with contrasts, with brushed mohair and soft cashmere contrasted against tough leather and cotton twill fabrications.

Furthermore, the collection was presented on the historic road of Frederiksgade. This road is next to the world-renowned Copenhagen Marble Church. The show happened in a gallery setting with ceramic and textile artworks, while abstract sounds swept through the space. This environment helped to deliver serenity and sophistication in the message that AERON Winter 2024 created.
